Welcome Assembly: Song and Cheer

This all-school tradition is filled with joy and celebration at the start of every school year!
The musical cheer at Burke’s Welcome Assembly was contagious! Our new kindergarteners entered the assembly to the song “Sansa Kroma,” about belovingly welcoming a baby eagle into a village. No sooner had the cheers ended when they began again—the oldest eighth-grader and the youngest first-grader partnered up to ring in the new year with their gongs. And then, per tradition, staff and faculty joined hands to form a “Wisdom Keepers” tunnel for the eighth-grade class to run through. The echoes of song and cheer continued to linger through “Take Time in Life,” a song about enjoying life, led by the Upper School Music Teacher.

With the campus lively with music and laughter, Burke’s was ready for a great school year! Welcome to our new students, the kindergarten Class of 2033, and to everyone else, welcome back to school!
